I read this short story called "Deniers" by Sam Lipsyte. I love a good short story. It was in a copy of The New Yorker that I found in the trash. It's so good! especially for riffraff. I love The New Yorker because it always has words that I don't know. This story doesn't have a lot of hard words though, so don't be scared. I am about to spoil the entire plot, so maybe you should be scared of that.
"Deniers" is about the drug-addicted daughter of a Holocaust survivor. Her father never talked about the Holocaust because he felt that people should not talk about their problems. The mother has an affair with an entrepreneur whose attempting to open a Shell gas station near their home. The entrepreneur dumps her and she ends up killing herself with carbon monoxide in the garage. The Holocaust survivor goes senile, and when he's not berating his daughter for being on drugs, he's asking where his dead wife is. The daughter begins dating a neo-Nazi who became obsessed with Jews and trying to reform himself. All these people are doing a shit-ton of self-denial in this story; the title works on several levels.
Have you ever seen this picture? It's by Dash Snow and was used in the short story to grab my attention. It worked.

The quote about dog vomit also caught my attention because I found it while searching for this short-story online. It all seemed very pertinent to my life and is clearly part of God's message. It reminds me of a quote from Andy Warhol, who I know much better than Jesus.
"Sometimes the little times you don't think are anything while they're happening turn out to be what marks a whole period of your life."
— Andy Warhol
That is so true Andy Warhol, like folly and vomit and kissing too many boys.
Boy
masterful!
